Marketing Analytics Developer

As member of the Development team, you will directly support the Marketing Analytics function across a wide range of clients and projects as well as internal initiatives.

Role

The Marketing Analytics Developer is responsible for creating, implementing and testing analytics tagging and scripts for websites, applications, and media assets. In collaboration with team members in Media, Analytics and Digital, the Marketing Analytics Developer is a critical member of the team, responsible for tracking and examining the effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives as well as business processes.

Responsibilities include:

Create, develop and manage the tagging strategy in collaboration with the Marketing Analytics and Media teams to identify required data points to be captured

Implement tagging in Google Tag Manager (GTM) / Ensighten Manager for digital properties across Cronin’s clients and internal properties

Set-up and manage Google Analytics profiles

Develop, manage and maintain analytics documentation

Deliver clear and concise set of technical requirements/ technical implementation documentation to the internal web development team as well as clients

Develop and manage all analytics testing activities

Identify, develop and manage A/B/n and Multivariate testing, using Google Optimize/Experiment and Adobe Target, and maintain a testing calendar

Analyze and present testing data from multiple sources

Report on planned tests, hypotheses, and test outcomes to internal stakeholders

Contribute to the improvement and optimization of analytics and reporting by identifying and recommending reporting improvements to leadership.

Write and implement scripts to monitor and report on issues which may affect results or cause interruption of services (404 error reporting, performance monitoring, etc).

Reporting relationships / Office environment

This position reports to the Associate Director, DevOps and directly supports the Marketing Analytics team, with a dotted line relationship to the Sr. Manager Marketing Analytics. We are currently in a hybrid working mode (50% on-site), with on-site work for many staff at least part of the time. We have invested in a “covid safe” environment which includes temperature check ins, air filtration, outdoor workspaces, cleaning procedures, and other safeguards. However, this position is eligible for full-time remote status.

Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Analytics or related field

3-5 years of relevant experience in Marketing, Analytics, Operations or IT

Exceptional knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

Experience with Adobe Analytics and Ensighten Manager also preferred

Proficient in programming languages such as HTML, JS, and PHP

Experience with SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL,etc), Google Cloud Platform, Big Query, and Python

Proficient with tag validation, testing, and debugging tools

Salesforce JavaScript Developer certification desired (full Salesforce certification a plus –  B2B, Marketing Cloud, platform app and platform development)

Familiarity with Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.

Front-end code development and as well as CMS experience a plus
