Agency Kicks Off Fifth Annual “Cronin Cares” Program

Workplace Volunteer Initiative Assists Four Local Non-Profit Organizations

GLASTONBURY, CONN./ August 14, 2017 – Cronin, a digitally-driven marketing agency in Connecticut, kicked off its annual “Cronin Cares” initiative today. The goal of the “Cronin Cares” program is to motivate agency staff to channel their incredible work ethic, creativity, and passion into a different direction for a week: community service. For the fifth consecutive year, employees can choose to assist one of four remarkable local charities.

Cronin has partnered with the following non-profit organizations where employees can lend a helping hand this week:

  • The Friendship Service Center, a New Britain community shelter located at 241 Arch Street that aims to provide friendship and direct service to men, women and children in need. Cronin staff will visit on Tuesday, August 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 to help prep and serve lunch in the community kitchen.
  • Hartford Food Systems, a group that works with the city of Hartford to help find long-term solutions to affordable and healthy food. Agency volunteers will be visiting the lot at the Swift Factory, 60 Love Lane in Hartford, on Tuesday, August 15 from 9:00 a.m. to noon and will be tasked with weeding and beautifying the community garden.
  • KNOX, an organization that encourages stronger, greener, healthier and more beautiful neighborhoods by improving the areas and parks throughout Hartford. On Wednesday, August 16 from 9:00 a.m. to noon, volunteers will help mulch, weed, and clean up Sigourney Square Park in Hartford’s Asylum Hill neighborhood.
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford is a place that enables all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. Agency participants will help chaperone 120 kids from the Asylum Hill Club on a field trip to Launch, a local trampoline park at 91 Brainard Road in Hartford, on Thursday, August 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
