Steve Wolfberg Discusses New Regulations on Gender Stereotypes in Ads

This week the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), the U.K.’s independent advertising regulator, announced it will toughen rules on gender stereotypes in ads, arguing that they are harmful to society. Ads that are deemed to present activities as only appropriate for one gender or another, and mock those who do not conform to stereotypical gender rules, will no longer be allowed. Steve Wolfberg joined Ray Dunaway on WTIC-AM this morning to discuss these new regulations and how it could impact the ads we see in the United States.
