With microbreweries popping up like dandelions, how do we help a start-up stand out? With a campaign that’s just as bold as the brew. In crafting a personality for the brand, the key ingredient was, of course, the truth. The owner-brewers are passionate guys with an irreverent sense of humor and a fierce pride in their product. The beer they make is in-your-face, and so the advertising had to be as well: bold, smart, fresh and funny, and so entertaining that you just have to share it with your friends.
TRUTH WINS:Stubborn Beauty is going strong, with an expansion that doubled their brewing capacity and rapidly growing distribution. Meanwhile, this passion project has been honored with Connecticut Ad Club awards every year for its writing and design.
